Frost coats the morning grass at Doi Inthanon on Monday. Roong Hirunwong, chief of the Doi Inthanon National Park, said frost rimed the grass along both sides of the road to the park between kilometre markers 42-47, giving tourists a stunning view. While it was 4°C on the mountain top, bringing mae khaning (frozen dew) the temperature was even lower at 3°C at Kiew Mae Pan, where there was moey khab (hoar frost). The mercury at the office of the Doi Inthanon National Park registered a low of 11°C this morning. As long as overnight temperatures fall to 4°C or below, tourists would certainly enjoy beautiful frost-coated morning views inside the national park, Mr Roong said.
